Hinterglemm invests €75 million: New Reiterkogelbahn and luxury hotel

Skicircus Saalbach Hinterglemm Leogang Fieberbrunn concluded the 2025/2026 ski season on April 6 — and construction work began the very next day. Hinterglemm enters the largest investment spring in its history: a total of €75 million is reshaping the village ahead of next winter.

The flagship project is the construction of a brand-new Reiterkogelbahn. The original 8-passenger gondola from 1997 is being replaced by a state-of-the-art 10-seater cable car by Doppelmayr with a capacity of 2,500 people per hour.

Adjacent to the new cable car, a second major project is underway: Raiffeisen Bank is investing €40 million into a comprehensive renovation of the luxury Alpine Palace Hotel right in the heart of Hinterglemm.
